Find your first users with AI

Your first users are already out there, right now, describing the exact problem your app solves. This prompt finds those conversations across Reddit, forums, Facebook groups, and X, then hands you a ranked plan for joining them genuinely.

Best results: run this in the deepest research mode you have, ChatGPT or Gemini Deep Research, or Claude's extended thinking. Swap the four [BRACKETS] for your product before you run it.

The prompt

Find Reddit communities and threads, online forums, Facebook groups, and X/Twitter posts where my target users discuss the problem my product solves.

My product, [PRODUCT], helps [WHO IT'S FOR] by [WHAT IT DOES]. Specifically, it [KEY FEATURES].

Look for people expressing the pain my product solves — asking things like "is there an app for this," "what's the best way to do X," or "why is it so hard to do Y." Capture the actual language frustrated users use when they're hunting for a solution like mine.

For each result, give me:
- the platform
- the link
- why it's relevant
- the pain point the person is expressing
- how my product could naturally fit into the conversation
- whether I should comment, DM, post, or just observe
- the subreddit / group size and how recent and active the thread is

Prioritize communities where I can contribute genuinely without sounding promotional. Rank them best-first so I know where to start, and suggest 5–10 search terms I can use to find more.

How to use it
